Welcome to the Native American Experience webpage!
The answer to a question I’ve heard a lot recently is yes! We will be going to New Mexico again this year, and again, it is only open to those students in leadership. During this incredible week, the team will have the chance to explore a different culture, reflect on social issues, cultivate relationships, and most importantly, continue to explore the integral link between Christian faith and the Gospel’s call to service and justice. And, we’ll have fun too! During the week we’ll be staying at St. Mary’s Mission in Tohatchi, NM. I can personally attest to just how welcoming and generous the folks from St. Mary’s are. When I showed up in Tohatchi as a sophomore in college, I was pretty nervous about the whole thing, but by the end of the first week I was singing and dancing in a traditional Navajo pow-wow – without any reservations at all.
